Friday Podcast 5/16/2008

Kevin, Emily, and I on the evils of myspace, crappy jelly beans, flying, guys who have sex with lawn furniture… What can I say? Our minds wander a lot.

Go check out the solo content on Kevin’s Site.

This is still not safe for the kids, or the faint of heart. There is adult language and content.

The Podcasty Goodness is doing well

Since I’m involved with Kevin on the Friday Night netcasts, I repost them here after he posts them on his site. I’ve been watching the downloads and plays in my statistics since I started. Things started pretty slow, with only a couple of downloads each.

Within the past week, downloads are over 50+ each. Yes, I know, still very small-time. However, we are starting from nothing, so this is exciting to us.

I noticed a sharp uptake after I started using Blubrry.com as a distribution outlet. Kudos to them. Of course, we would like to be listed on iTunes, but I don’t have the ability to register since I use Linux.

In short – thanks to those of you who downloaded, and let us know what you think.

Don’t forget that Kevin’s podcasts are not kid-friendly, not even Friday Nights.

Friday Night, Minus Emily

Kevin and I tackled the Friday Night show by ourselves. The R-N Forums, Burma, some web sites and more are on tap in this episode. Go forth and enjoy.

Once again, this is still not for kids. There is crude language and subject matter. You were warned.

Friday Night Podcast – The Return

Here’s our second edition of the Friday Night Podcast. We tested volumes before this edition. I actually come through pretty well, and Emily is kind of quiet.

Unfortunately, my ‘nose whistle’ can be heard through the whole thing. Please don’t laugh too hard. We will get this right eventually.

Once again, the language and subject matter are not for kids! Please do not listen if you are easily offended by crude language and/or subject matter.

The Friday Night Experience

Friday night, Em and I joined Kevin in recording a podcast. He has been doing very well in getting them out regularly on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He has improved quite a bit from the first recordings and is putting out better-sounding stuff all of the time.

Our input was very jagged for the first half hour, but we got better the second half. I personally think it was pretty good, but we need to get our audio levels worked out. Em sounds really loud, Kevin’s about right, and I’m too quiet.

My only warning is that this bit is not for kids. There are discussions and language that are not appropriate for children, or anyone who may be offended. It’s pretty raw to be honest. If you would like to listen, you have been warned.
