Hold me

Work feels so empty now. The remaining personnel that were here are now gone. The only ones remaining are Customer Care. I’ve been rolled into that group since I’m the GSM expert and technically inclined. While I’m very thankful to have a job still and I like the people who are left, I do miss everyone who left.

It’s a strange feeling to come to work and have my choice of parking spaces. Not to mention that there are ten people in an office that used to house 40+. It does make me sad to see the place so empty. Hopefully we’ll have fun through the holidays and enjoy what time we have left.

I still haven’t heard anything from the resumes that I’ve sent out. I am kind of shocked that no one has called yet. Then again, our area isn’t a hotbed of tech activity.

It’s over! …and just beginning.

The HoH for this year is finally over. Our preliminary tally puts this year’s House victim-count at about 1,000. That’s 200 more than last year. Frankly, I’m just glad that it was successful. No more dealing with getting materials to the press or public. No more promotion!

Now we just have to tear it all down before the week’s out so that our new furnace can be installed.

THEN, we will be putting Christmas lights/decorations up and down the city streets the Sunday morning after Thanksgiving. Relaxing holidays, pffffttthhht. 🙂
